In the midst of an old industrial site, a parcel unexpectedly shape-shifts into a collaborative experimental garden. Third space of the La Fabrique ensemble, the Jardin C garden is an open-sky artistic laboratory for social and cultural experiences.
What makes the Jardin C unique is the cohabitation of artistic activities and the experimental gardening participatory project. In this, the garden is common to different uses and different users : locals, workers, the Île de Nantes pedestrians, as well as artists and cultural structures of the region.
Beyond the familiarization with lesser-known artistic practices, this space also aims to overthrow the relation between the public and the event space, giving the possibility to act and participate within La Fabrique.

Participating
With the Jardin C, Mire gives the possibility to each and everyone to participate in the creation of this unusual urban garden. No fertilizer and no fence, this garden takes its shape according to its makers desires.
Cultivating a “do it together” as well as a “do it yourself” mentality, Mire wishes to make of the Jardin C an atypical and innovative place open to multiple types of participation.
