To conclude Mire’s first Wandering Residency, organized in the context of the european project SPECTRAL, Ana Edwards and Francisco Rodriguez Teare will present their Colorful Procession during the first night of the festival M.I.A.M ! (Manifestation d’Intérêt Artistique Mangeable) #4 organized by Lolab !
After a few weeks spent exploring the Breil neighbourhood and collecting stories and recollections from its residents with the help of their microphone and film camera, Ana Edwards and Francisco Rodriguez Teare will embark us on a very singular open air screening experience…
All will start with a surprising game of Bingo in the gardens of the 38Breil which will leave no one with an empty stomach. Then, the guests will be invited to take part in an analog cinematographic parade rooted just as well in fairground and experimental cinema than in religious and carnaval processions. Three films, three rolls, three colors which will blend into one upon arrival : an unexpected visual and sensory experience !
In the wake of popular Chilean culture which is their own, the artists call upon notions of tradition, encounter, community and living memory of people and places through the means of a collective experience, equally joyful and colorful.
